Sock FO's

Even thought I haven't been posting or well blog reading much lately I have been knitting. Most of my time has been spent at the soccer field with the boys so lots of sock knitting is being done. I have two fo's to share with you.

Picture 001

I finished these last week. The yarn is Vesper sock yarn in "Build Me Up Buttercup". I used a size 1 Knitpicks circular needle and my basic sock pattern.

I started these in June and I guess got busy with other things and never finished them. I found them a few weeks ago when I was cleaning out my knitting corner and all but the feet needed to be done. I figured it was high time I finished these before I started anything else.

Here's a picture without the flash so you can see the pattern better. The yarn is Dream in Color sock yarn that I bought at the Loopy ewe. The colorway is " Petal Shower" and no mods were made, I knit the pattern as is.

That's all I've got for now but I'll be back next week with some fall wips. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

It's been waaay too long

It's been so long I can't believe it. I really hadn't had the motivation to write a post since my surgery and then with school and soccer starting for both boys it's been really busy. I'm feeling so much better and today for the first time have quite a bit of energy. I thank you all for the great e-mails of good wishes and encourgment you sent during my recovery , it helped more than you know. We had a great summer, how was all of yours? I hope it was great for you all too. As I said the kids are back in school my daugter started 7th grade and is at the junior high which I have to say freaked me out a bit but so far she's doing really well and has made a good group of friends. My oldest boy is in 3rd this year while my yongest is in kindergarten they both like school and their new teachers.

I was planning on posting last week but we found a bump on Miss Gabby P8150094

we found out she it was a mast cell tumor. She had surgery on Friday and is doing well, actually she's running around like a crazy dog and it's been hard to get her to rest. I just heard from the doctor this morning it was a malignant tumor or a grade 2 tumor. The good new is it looks like they got it all and said she should live a nice long life but we still have to keep an eye on it. So good news I feel a lot better and I'm glad Gabby will too.

I have been knitting during my time away. This summer it's been all about socks. I have so much sock yarn and patterns it only seemed right to knit some up plus they are amoung my favorite things too knit.P9130028

These are my latest pair. I finished these up on Friday. The pattern is Rivendell from Eclectic Sole. The yarn is Dream in color smooshy in wisterious that I bought a while back from the Loopy Ewe. You can see all my other socks on Ravelry as I'm too lazy to post them all to the blog.  Well I think this post is plenty long. I've missed you all so much and hope you are all well. I promise I won't stay away this long again. Have a great day all!

Hey all!

I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. The summer has been really busy with the kids and getting the house together as today I go in for my hysterectomy. I wanted to make sure the kids had a good summer before I went in. I've been knitting quite a bit as well. Mostly socks, big surprise I know. I hope to have them all up on Ravelry with in the next few weeks. I miss all of you and I'm so sorry I haven't gotten around to any of your blogs but while I'm laid up I'm hoping to catch up. Thanks to all the people who e-mailed me to see how I'm doing. I'll be back soon and should be posting regularly by Sept. I hope you all are having a terrific summer!
