Things are so crazy around here. There's Christmas cookie baking to be done, Christmas shopping to be finished, My oldest son's birthday to get ready for and all the various things I have to do to get the house together. Oh and over the weekend my husband decided to paint the kitchen, as if I didn't have enough aggravation. Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled that the kitchen is finally getting painted. I've been wanting it done since we moved in 9 years ago, but not two weeks before Christmas! He did get one wall painted and after explaining to him that I really need to have my kitchen back until after Christmas he cleaned up and put everything away. Now the cookie baking can commence. He as a week off from work after Christmas so we'll get it done then.
I do have a quick fo show you. As you might have noticed blogging hasn't been at the top of my list the last week or two so I didn't have a chance to show you this one.
These are the gauntlets from the The Purl Stitch. I made myself a pair a few years ago and when I was taking out the fall knits she saw them and said she'd like a pair in her favorite colors red, and black. I just happened to have a skein of Yarn Nerd in the Love and Peace or Else colorway.
As you can see she loves them and she said all her friends at school that they were "so cool".
Last but not least, the winner of the little Nice Matters Contest I had. The winner is Amanda. Congrats! I'll be sending you a fibery prize soon!
Have a good one all!

Hee hee, why can't men understand how terrible it is to take the kitchen out of commission a few weeks before Christmas?? I'm glad he's packed the painting supplies away until after the holiday!! :)

Oy! Painting the kitchen so close to Christmas must be a truly stressful and hectic thing - but then again, you'll finally have the kitchen you've wanted for so long, so it must be worth it after all! ;)
And hey, I love the gauntlets, they look awesome in these colors!
