Whriling Wednesday: Thursday edition
Sorry to have been away so long. The kids were on vacation last week and we had beautiful weather. We spent a few days at six flags (pictures to come) and the rest of the time was spent outside. I would have posted earlier this week but I left my camera in blogless Jean's car after the Yarn Harlot event at Webs and wasn't able to pick it up until yesterday. The funny part was I didn't even use it not even once. I was to overwhelmed by the thousand or so knitters that were there. Now I have it back and figured I'd show you some fiber that picked up at Ct sheep and wool. That's have a look shall we?
First of all I got there right when it opened at 9:00 and we left at 10:30. My oldest son had his first soccer game that day and no amount of fiber was going to make me miss it but I really missed seeing all of you guys. Hopefully we will meet up at Cummington. My main goal was to find a fleece to mix with Bob's bunny fluff so it was off to the red barn first where I found a gorgeous CVM fleece. I didn't take any pics sorry it's already been sent of with the angora for processing. I so can't wait to get it back! After that we walked around a bit and bought just a few things.
My first purchase was 4oz. of beautiful Cormo from Fox hill fibers.
Some merino/tencel from one of my favorite places, The Sheep Shed. The colorways are Bermuda and Summer fields.
The last purchase was from a new to me dyer,Dye Dreams. It's a very soft alpaca and I love the colors. I'm thinking maybe a nice lace scarf for this one.
It was a great hour and a half I do wish I could have spent more time though and didn't bring my camera because I knew we were only going to be there for a short time.
Over the last few weeks I did manage to spin up three yarns.
From top to bottom : Merino hand dyed by me I call it "Sugar and Spice" even though it looks orangey in the picture it really isn't. Then there is 4oz. of superwash wool that I bought from The Loopy Ewe the colorway is "Neapolitan" and it came out a nice fingering weight, and the last one is "Think Spring" from the Spunky Club the fiber is South African fine and it came to be a Sport weight it's a little on the light side but still very pretty. It kind of reminds me of those marshmallow peeps.
That's all for now I hope you all have a great day!

Oooohhh, nice loot!! Was so glad to see you Sunday - it was a fun day, wasn't it? I wasn't even as overwhelmed at I thought I'd be. :)

Nice choices! Just FYI, cormo blended with angora is A. Maze. Ing. But I'll be interested in hearing about your cvm and bunny. Haven't tried it yet.

Pretty!!! You would have been in serious trouble at MDS&W though. So many tempting fibers.
