This week I have three new yarns to show you.
These first two are superwash corriedale from Spunky Eclectic. The top one is "Confused" and the bottom is "Flutterby". Both are 15 wpi which is a sport weight yarn.
This last one is from the recent Spunky Club selection. It's Icelandic wool in "Snow Squall". The colors are gray, blue, and green. I'm sorry for the crappy picture but it's been gray and rainy for the past few days and it was hard to get a decent shot. I haven't checked the wpi on this one but I believe it's about a DK weight.
I decided not to do an update in the shop this week. Instead I thought it would be fun to play around with some interesting fibers I had bought at Rhinebeck.
I can't remember who I bought this from but it's a mix of different fibers some threads, and some sari silk.
I spun up half of the fiber and on the wheel now is some plain black merino which I will ply this with and see how it comes out. If all works out well I spin up the other half. I usually don't spin novelty type yarns but when Katy had pointed this out to me at Rhinebeck I thought it looked like it'd be fun to play with. It was an interesting spin and I can't wait to see what the finished yarn will look like.
That does it for this weeks Whirling Wednesday. Have a great day all!
Novelty yarn, huh? Well, it looks interesting from here.

I am in awe of how much you manage to spin! I really need to start setting aside a specific time for spinning as you are inspiring me!!

Very pretty!
I don't know if I'm too crazy about the latest club offering, the colors are pretty but the fiber itself is a bit on the scratchy side for me...but I joined to try something different so I shouldn't complain. ;o))
